Scope and Contents
The Forward Movement of the Reformed Church in the United States was inaugurated by the General Synod of the Reformed Church in the United States at a meeting held at Altoona, PA, March 6, 1919. The Forward Movement was active from 1919 to 1926. This collection includes glass slides highlighting the campaign, images from missionary trips in Asia, and of colleges that were or still affiliated with the Reformed Church in the United States.

Description
An image of a man walking along a path labeled with words that symbolize the path to Heaven. The words in each block read, "Honor, Love, Faith, Gratitude, Respect, Generosity, Fidelity, Justice, Liberality, Reverence, Kindliness, Appreciation, Affection, Recognition, Devotion, Veneration, Heaven. Continuing text reads, " Paving the Last Mile! With your gifts it can be made smooth for the feet at last grown weary - without them it will be steep and rough and difficult, and will halt the feeble traveler all too soon."
