Biographical / Historical
In 1817 a stone church was consecrated as Zion Church for the Lutheran and Reformed congregations. A brick church was dedicated in 1867. In 1897 it was decided to dissolve the union, at which time the Lutherans bought the building. In 1936 Zion Charge consisted of Zion, Trinity, Emanuel and Ickesburg congregations. In 1993 the Charge consisted of Zion, Blain and Sandy Hill, Loysville. Reformed Pastors who served include: 1819-1840 Jacob Scholl 1840-1842 Supplies 1842-1859 Charles H.
