Christ (Little Tulpehocken) Union Church (Bernville, PA)

Christ (Little Tulpehocken) Lutheran Church became a Union church on February 18, 1853. The first building was a log church. In 1809, a new stone church was built.The 1809 building is 40 feet by 34 feet, only five pews in depth, with three pews on each side. Upon becoming a Union church, extensive changes were made (1853). In 1874, the church was again remodeled. Extensive renovations were made in the years of 1925-1926. For most of its history, the Reformed Congregation met only once a month, and many of the services were held in the afternoon. In the early 1940's the German services were discontinued. This church along with Frieden's (Peace) Union Church of Shartlesville, St. Thomas of Bernville, Zion Church of Strausstown and St. Paul's Church of Tulpehocken comprised the Bernville Charge.
