Biographical / Historical
Faith-Trinity United Church of Christ was established in Warren Michigan in 1959. It was started by Rev. Herbert Lowe who knocked on doors in the community to encourage families to bring their children to church on Sunday at the Westwood School. In 1964 a church was built beside the school and the congregation grew to 200 by 1970. Over the years Faith Trinity UCC became known as the "Little Church in the Woods". Though small in number, this church was known for it's generosity and community mindfulness. They participated in or donated to; Head Start, Heifer Project, Noah's Project, Veterans of the Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and set up their own Faith Trinity Food Tree where non-perishable items are available for anyone in the community.
