Biographical / Historical
The church was organized January 23, 1881. The church had been dedicated November 27, 1880 at Somerset and Dilbert Streets. It was destroyed by the Great Flood in 1889 and rebuilt on the same site in 1892. In 1934 it became St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, and in 1857 it became St. John's United Church of Christ. Pastors who have served this church include: 1880-1894 William H.
