The Mt. Zwingli Reformed Church collection consists of one volume of published church records including baptisms, confirmations, deaths and cemetery inscriptions, 1840-1932. Title: Mt. Biographical / Historical

Mt. Zwingli Reformed Church was founded in the Fall of 1840 by Rev. Henry Williard. The building was built in 1841 and consecrated in November of that year. Pastors included: Henry Willard, 1840-1846; Jesse Steiner, 1846-1848; D. F. Philips, 1848-1850 (became Lutheran); Henry Williard, supply pastor, 1850-1851; Jacob Weaver, 1851-1856; no pastor, 1856-1858 (almost taken over by the United Brethren in Christ); N. H. Loose, 1858-1863; Joseph Hannabery, 1863-1869; Henry King, 1869-1872; J. Hefly (supply pastor), 1872-1876; J. W. Barber, 1876-1880; J. R. Skinner, 1880-1884; F. M. Shultz, 1884-1887; Rev. Seites, 1887; Henry Schrader, 1887-1890; J. H. Albright, 1890-????); David Parks, ????-1932. A choir was begun during the pastorate of Henry King, a new constitution was approved Nov. 3, 1877, a Sabbath school was begun in 1881. The church was closed in 1932 due to declining membership.
