Biographical / Historical
Davids Union Church (Reformed and Lutheran) was established in Canal Winchester, Ohio in 1839 and became part of the Winchester Charge of Union churches (Reformed and Lutheran) which included Glick/Salem (Union) Brick Church (1808), Betzer Union Church (later renamed Zion Reformed Church) (1818), and Jobs/Hiobs Union Church (1831). Davids first building was constructed in 1839 on Washington St., Canal Winchester. The Reformed congregation bought the half interest in the building from the Lutheran congregation but they continued to worship in the existing church building until new buildings were completed in 1883. In 1885 Davids became a self-constituted charge with Jobs, Glick and Zion Reformed churches. The church is now known as Davids United Church of Christ.
