Biographical / Historical

St. Paul's Orphanage property in Butler, Pennsylvania was purchased by St. Paul's Classis of Pittsburgh Synod and the orphanage was dedicated on December 10, 1867. The home initially provided care for orphans of Civil War veterans and others. On February 24, 1909 the facility moved to Greenville. Services for the aging began in 1927. The children's home closed in 1971 and the remaining facility is now St. Paul Homes, which is dedicated to care for the aging. and Old Folks' Home (Greenville, PA)
