Scope and Contents From the Collection: The papers of Dr. Philip Schaff (1819-1893) have been a part of the holdings of the Evangelical and Reformed Historical Society from the time they were donated over a period of years by Schaff's son, Dr. David Schley Schaff before his death in 1943 and by his granddaughter, Miss Mary Schaff, through the 1960's.
